The Roero is that portion of territory located in north of Alba, on the left bank of the Tanaro.
It is characterized by a remarkable variety of landscapes which, next to the vine, see the presence of woods and orchards. It’s one of the elements that characterize the Roero landscape are the Rocche, steep hills that cut the territory from south-west to north-east.
Our vineyards are located in “Loghero locality” in Sommariva Perno, one of the 19 municipalities of Roero, and have an extension of 1.5 hectares. The soil is of a marly-sandstone type with a prevalence of clay and sand, the latter element which makes the soil loose and gives it softness and great permeability. It is possible to obtain wines with great primary aromas and velvety tannins.
